Creatordale Creator of the Month interview with KFVS12 in Cape Girardeau, MO
1. Architecture I love shooting architecture, because I feel like every building tells a story. Photography is great, because I get to find unique perspectives to make people see everyday things in ways they may not have before. This photo was taken in 2026 of the old Brown Shoe Factory in Murphysboro, IL. I have a special love for abandoned buildings... |
2. PortraitsMy portrait photography is some of my best work! I have gotten to meet so many new people that I ordinarily wouldn't have had the chance to because they have seen, and like my work. It is the best feeling when my clients first see their pictures after editing, and they love them! This photo was taken of my beautiful friend Bitty!! I love how intimate this photo is! |
3. NatureI love shooting nature because a lot of times, what you see one day will not be the same the next. with so many "once in a lifetime" shots out there waiting to be taken, I like to have my camera with me every time I travel somewhere new. One picture can say a thousand words. This photo was taken near the library in Carbondale. |
I have had a passion for design and photography since middle school. Living in Chicago fueled my love for architecture, and also gave me access to graphic design and photography internships through After School Matters and Gallery 37. I learned so much during that time, I already knew that this was something i could do as a profession. Now I am getting recognition from people I never thought even paid attention to my work.

Black Lives Matter Movement in Carbondale
This year has truly shown us how quickly "the norm" can get switched up. Between the global pandemic, all the racial divide across the country, and just simply trying to pay my bills, I'm honestly amazed I'm still sane. I finally had the privilege of participating in my own march here in Carbondale, Illinois. It was really interesting to see the amount of people from all walks of life out there despite what is happening in the news. I thought i was very important to photograph these moments because this is history in the making. We will continue to push for change!
